![]() With Windows7 and later versions the independently launched EAW no longer runs in a window. ![]() Now if I leave the windower running, but launch eaw independently (such as a lobbied launch at GameRanger) then it will still run in the window. If I select eaw140 and click on the green arrow at the top left then eaw140 is the activated emulation and the green colour disappears. The only downside is that with operating systems after Vista one key feature does not work. This program circumvents the 7217 error and I can run EAW 1.2 with it. On my 1920x1080 monitor I set the resolution to 1680x1050 and the game plays in a window that almost fills the screen, and allows for the border. In all cases I use what seem to be its default settings, but with width and height set to zero.Īs a result the selection screens run in their natural 1024x768 resolution and the game in whatever resolution is set in the "eaw.ini" file. I use the "d3dwindower" on several of my HDDs.
